The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

किं तत्र प्रतिपत्तिर्मे स्फुटतामेति नेतरा ।
एतावन्मात्रसंवित्तिः स्यामहं भगवन्कथम् ॥ २६ ॥

kiṃ tatra pratipattirme sphuṭatāmeti netarā |
etāvanmātrasaṃvittiḥ syāmahaṃ bhagavankatham || 26 ||

I cannot understand sir, how I can be that intelligence, when I am so full of errors, or if I be the selfsame soul, why is it not so manifest in me as the pure divine soul itself.
