The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.57.5

वेष्टितं वासनारज्ज्वा दीर्घसंसृति दामवत् ।
वासनोद्वेष्टनेनैव तदिहोद्वेष्ट्यतेऽर्जुन ॥ ५ ॥

veṣṭitaṃ vāsanārajjvā dīrghasaṃsṛti dāmavat |
vāsanodveṣṭanenaiva tadihodveṣṭyate'rjuna || 5 ||

This empty air is spread over with the snare of our desires, stretching as wide as the sphere of these outstretched worlds; it is the band of our desire that encircles the worlds as their great belt.
