The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.29.121

न देवः कमलारूपी नापि देवो भवेन्मतिः ।
अकृत्रिममनाद्यन्तं देवनं देव उच्यते ॥ १२१ ॥

na devaḥ kamalārūpī nāpi devo bhavenmatiḥ |
akṛtrimamanādyantaṃ devanaṃ deva ucyate || 121 ||

Neither Laxmi the goddess of fortune, nor Sarasvati the goddess of intelligence are true goddesses, nor is there any one that may be called a god, except the one unfictitious god, who is without beginning and end, that is the true god.
