The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तां त्वं दृष्टिमवष्टभ्य राघवाऽघविनाशिनीम् ।
अनहंकृत्यहंकारो विहरस्व यथाक्रमम् ॥ २१ ॥

tāṃ tvaṃ dṛṣṭimavaṣṭabhya rāghavā'ghavināśinīm |
anahaṃkṛtyahaṃkāro viharasva yathākramam || 21 ||

Now Rama! Remove your sight for thy own egoism, and keep it fixed on the true ego which is a destroyer of all sins; and then go on with your ordinary course of conduct as thou mayest like.
