The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सुषुप्तावस्थया कंचित्कालं भुक्त्वा जगत्स्थितिम् ।
तुर्यतामेति तदनु परमानन्दघूर्णितः ॥ ४ ॥

suṣuptāvasthayā kaṃcitkālaṃ bhuktvā jagatsthitim |
turyatāmeti tadanu paramānandaghūrṇitaḥ || 4 ||

After a man has forgotten the existence of the world, for sometime in his state of sound sleep; he gains the fourth state of turiya, which is full of felicity and rapture.
