The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

हृदयाग्निर्ज्वलज्ज्वालो ददाह निखिलं वपुः ।
उत्पातपवनोद्भूतो दावः शुष्कमिव द्रुमम् ॥ ८ ॥

hṛdayāgnirjvalajjvālo dadāha nikhilaṃ vapuḥ |
utpātapavanodbhūto dāvaḥ śuṣkamiva drumam || 8 ||

The burning fire of his heart, burnt away his whole body; and left it as dry as a forest, scorched by the hot wind of a conflagration.
