The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जगज्जीर्णगृहस्यास्य कोणे कस्मिंश्चिदातते ।
भूमेरनिलदिग्नाम्नि भूभृद्भाण्डसमाकुले ॥ ८ ॥

jagajjīrṇagṛhasyāsya koṇe kasmiṃścidātate |
bhūmeraniladignāmni bhūbhṛdbhāṇḍasamākule || 8 ||

It was in some spacious corner of the old mansion of this world, and on the northwest side of this land, a spot of rugged hills and overtopping it as a shed.
