The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

बाल्ययौवनवृद्धेषु दुःखेषु च सुखेषु च ।
जाग्रत्स्वप्नसुषुप्तेषु स्वसंवित्तिपरो भव ॥ ३३ ॥

bālyayauvanavṛddheṣu duḥkheṣu ca sukheṣu ca |
jāgratsvapnasuṣupteṣu svasaṃvittiparo bhava || 33 ||

In all the changes of your life from boyhood to youth and old age, and amidst all its changing scenes of prosperity and adversity, as also in the states of your waking, dreaming and sound sleep, remain faithful to your consciousness. (I.e. never lose the knowledge of your self-identity.
