The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दैत्यदोर्दण्डपरशोस्तस्य वीर्येण वीर्यवान् ।
दानवान्बाधते शक्रो बालकानिव मर्कटः ॥ ३० ॥

daityadordaṇḍaparaśostasya vīryeṇa vīryavān |
dānavānbādhate śakro bālakāniva markaṭaḥ || 30 ||

His elder brother Indra baffled the battle axes in the hands of the mighty demons, by the force of the thunder-bolts held by his mightier arms, as the big male monkeys kill their male offspring.
