The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कष्टं तात पुरंध्रीणा शुष्काम्बुरुहनीरसाः ।
विलासाः सुरनारीभिर्भर्त्स्यन्ते लास्यलीलया ॥ २० ॥

kaṣṭaṃ tāta puraṃdhrīṇā śuṣkāmburuhanīrasāḥ |
vilāsāḥ suranārībhirbhartsyante lāsyalīlayā || 20 ||

O how painful is it to think! that the fading graces of our captured girls, are now mocked by the heavenly nymphs, in their disdainful dance over their defeat and disgrace.
