The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.13.16

जनकेन परित्यक्ता यथाहंकारवासना ।
तथा त्वमपि सद्बुद्धे विचार्यान्तः परित्यज ॥ १६ ॥

janakena parityaktā yathāhaṃkāravāsanā |
tathā tvamapi sadbuddhe vicāryāntaḥ parityaja || 16 ||

As Janaka has abandoned the consciousness of his personality, together with his desires also; so do you, O intelligent Rama, forsake them by your acute understanding and of the mind discernment.
