The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.54.25

तनुभावनया तेन सुखदुःखैर्न लिप्यते ।
अवस्त्विति च निर्णीय स्नेहास्था न प्रवर्तते ॥ २५ ॥

tanubhāvanayā tena sukhaduḥkhairna lipyate |
avastviti ca nirṇīya snehāsthā na pravartate || 25 ||

The nice discernment of things, will preserve you from the excess of joy and grief, and the knowledge of the Vanity of things, will keep out your affection for or reliance on any person or thing.
