The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.26.20

पिण्डग्रहेण नभसि भूभागमिव कुट्टिमम् ।
मुष्टिग्राह्यो महामेघमन्थरोदरपीवरः ॥ २० ॥

piṇḍagraheṇa nabhasi bhūbhāgamiva kuṭṭimam |
muṣṭigrāhyo mahāmeghamantharodarapīvaraḥ || 20 ||

The thickened air grew as hard as the solid earth with the gathering clouds, and the thickened clouds that became as dense as to be grasped in the fist, were heavy and slow in their motion.
