The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.22.12

अन्धकारमयी मूका जाड्यजर्जरितान्तरा ।
तनुत्वमेति संसारवासनेवोदये क्षपा ॥ १२ ॥

andhakāramayī mūkā jāḍyajarjaritāntarā |
tanutvameti saṃsāravāsanevodaye kṣapā || 12 ||

As long as the shadow of solicitude, hangs over the mind, it is darkened and stupified and broken in the heart, until the sun of inappetency rises to dispel its gloom.
