The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विकासितान्तःकरणः शोभामलमुपाययौ ।
आश्वस्तस्तमसि क्षीणे पद्मोऽर्कालोकनादिव ॥ २ ॥

vikāsitāntaḥkaraṇaḥ śobhāmalamupāyayau |
āśvastastamasi kṣīṇe padmo'rkālokanādiva || 2 ||

He with his expanded heart and blooming face, shone forth with a pure grace, like the fresh lotus reviving at the end of night, under the vivifying beams of the rising sun.
