The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आवर्तननदीदीर्घा वहत्यूर्ध्वतरङ्गिणी ।
पश्येयं धूमयमुना व्योमगङ्गां प्रधावति ॥ ३२ ॥

āvartananadīdīrghā vahatyūrdhvataraṅgiṇī |
paśyeyaṃ dhūmayamunā vyomagaṅgāṃ pradhāvati || 32 ||

The curling smoke is ascending on high, like a whirling and long meandering river in the air, and the black and white fumes of fire, resemble the dark stream of Yamuna in one place, and the milky path of the etherial Ganga in another.
