The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.38.4

वहल्लूनशिरःपद्मचक्रावर्तैस्तरङ्गितैः ।
खार्णवे पूरिते हेतिवृन्दमन्दाकिनीगणैः ॥ ४ ॥

vahallūnaśiraḥpadmacakrāvartaistaraṅgitaiḥ |
khārṇave pūrite hetivṛndamandākinīgaṇaiḥ || 4 ||

Severed heads like loose lotuses, floated and whirled in the whirlpools of blood below, and the sea of heaven was filled with flying weapons, moving as marine animals above.
