The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.26.31

कोकिलालिप्रलापिन्यो वृष्टिबाष्पहता लताः ।
उष्णोष्णश्वसना देहं घन्ति पल्लवपाणिभिः ॥ ३१ ॥

kokilālipralāpinyo vṛṣṭibāṣpahatā latāḥ |
uṣṇoṣṇaśvasanā dehaṃ ghanti pallavapāṇibhiḥ || 31 ||

The fading plants are wailing in the plaintive notes of Cuckoos and the humming of bees; and are withering in their leafy limbs by the sultry sighs of their inward grief.
