The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.7.20

हन्त नूनं विजानामि हतांस्तान्विद्धिराक्षसान् ।
नह्यस्मदादयः प्राज्ञाः संदिग्धे संप्रवृत्तयः ॥ २० ॥

hanta nūnaṃ vijānāmi hatāṃstānviddhirākṣasān |
nahyasmadādayaḥ prājñāḥ saṃdigdhe saṃpravṛttayaḥ || 20 ||

I know it for certain, and so shouldst thou know also, that the Rakshasas must be destroyed by him; and (believe me) that wise men like ourselves will never undertake to engage in an uncertainty.
