The Vaisheshika-sutra 6.1.14, English translation, including commentaries such as the Upaskara of Shankara Mishra, the Vivriti of Jayanarayana-Tarkapanchanana and the Bhashya of Chandrakanta. हीने परे त्यागः ॥ ६.१.१४ ॥
hīne pare tyāgaḥ || 6.1.14 ||
hīne—in an inferior; pare—in another; tyāgaḥ—making away with, killing.
14. Making away with another (is not sinful), if (he is) inferior (to oneself.)—238
Commentary: The Upaskāra of Śaṅkara Miśra:

Bat is the making away with another to be resorted to with any distinction, whatever? He says, No:

If another who does not give anything to take away, is inferior to oneself, he, the Śūdra, or the like, maybe put to death.—14.
Commentary: The Vivṛti of Jayanārāyaṇa:

‘Para’ means an enemy, (and not one who does not give anything to take away).
