The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.3.22; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

सहायेनाहार्योत्साह-रतिर्, यथा —
मयि वल्गति भीम-विक्रमे
भज भङ्गं न हि सङ्गरादितः ।
इति मित्र-गिरा वरूथपः
स-विरूपं विब्रुवन् हरिं ययौ ॥४.३.२२॥

sahāyenāhāryotsāha-ratir, yathā —
mayi valgati bhīma-vikrame
bhaja bhaṅgaṃ na hi saṅgarāditaḥ |
iti mitra-girā varūthapaḥ
sa-virūpaṃ vibruvan hariṃ yayau
||4.3.22||

English translation

Regaining enthusiasm for battle by another person’s assistance:
“ ‘Do not accept defeat in this battle, since I am bursting with fierce prowess!’ After hearing these words from a friend, Varūthapa charged toward the Lord, uttering unnatural sounds.”
