The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.15; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

चित्तं सत्त्वीभवत् प्राणे न्यस्यत्य् आत्मानम् उद्भटम् ।
प्राणस् तु विक्रियां गच्छन् देहं विक्षोभयत्य् अलम् ।
तदा स्तम्भादयो भावा भक्त-देहे भवन्त्य् अमी ॥२.३.१५॥

cittaṃ sattvībhavat prāṇe nyasyaty ātmānam udbhaṭam |
prāṇas tu vikriyāṃ gacchan dehaṃ vikṣobhayaty alam |
tadā stambhādayo bhāvā bhakta-dehe bhavanty amī ||2.3.15||

English translation

“When the heart becomes overwhelmed with bhāva related to Kṛṣṇa, it offers itself to the prāṇa with force. The prāṇa undergoes change, and disturbs the body. Then the sāttvika-bhāvas such as paralysis become visible in the devotee's body.”
