The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.380; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ क्षेत्रम्, यथा —
हरि-केलि-भुवां विलोकनं
बत दूरे’स्तु सुदुर्लभ-श्रियाम् ।
मथुरेत्य् अपि कर्ण-पद्धतिं
प्रविशन् नाम मनो धिनोति नः ॥२.१.३८०॥

atha kṣetram, yathā —
hari-keli-bhuvāṃ vilokanaṃ
bata dūre’stu sudurlabha-śriyām |
mathurety api karṇa-paddhatiṃ
praviśan nāma mano dhinoti naḥ
||2.1.380||

English translation

An example of His place:
“What to speak of seeing all the places of rare glory there the Lord performed pastimes, even hearing the name of Mathurā steals away my mind.”
