Rig Veda 6.28.8

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

उपे॒दमु॑प॒पर्च॑नमा॒सु गोषूप॑ पृच्यताम् । उप॑ ऋष॒भस्य॒ रेत॒स्युपे॑न्द्र॒ तव॑ वी॒र्ये॑ ॥
उपेदमुपपर्चनमासु गोषूप पृच्यताम् । उप ऋषभस्य रेतस्युपेन्द्र तव वीर्ये ॥
upedam upaparcanam āsu goṣūpa pṛcyatām | upa ṛṣabhasya retasy upendra tava vīrye ||

English translation:

“Let the nourishment of the cows be solicited, let the vigour of the bull (be requested), Indra, for your invigoration.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

I.e. the milk and butter which are required for Indra's nutriment are dependent upon the cows bearing calves
