अ॒न॒मी॒वास॒ इळ॑या॒ मद॑न्तो मि॒तज्ञ॑वो॒ वरि॑म॒न्ना पृ॑थि॒व्याः । आ॒दि॒त्यस्य॑ व्र॒तमु॑पक्षि॒यन्तो॑ व॒यं मि॒त्रस्य॑ सुम॒तौ स्या॑म ॥
अनमीवास इळया मदन्तो मितज्ञवो वरिमन्ना पृथिव्याः । आदित्यस्य व्रतमुपक्षियन्तो वयं मित्रस्य सुमतौ स्याम ॥
anamīvāsa iḻayā madanto mitajñavo varimann ā pṛthivyāḥ | ādityasya vratam upakṣiyanto vayam mitrasya sumatau syāma ||
English translation:
“May we, exempt from disease, rejoicing in (abundant) food, roaming free over the wide (expanse) of the earth, diligent in the worship of Āditya, ever be in the good favour of Mitra.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Roaming free: mitajñavaḥ = mitajānuka, with measured knees; i.e. yathākāmam sarvatra gacchantaḥ, going everywhere at plural asure
