Rig Veda 3.7.11

इळा॑मग्ने पुरु॒दंसं॑ स॒निं गोः श॑श्वत्त॒मं हव॑मानाय साध । स्यान्न॑: सू॒नुस्तन॑यो वि॒जावाग्ने॒ सा ते॑ सुम॒तिर्भू॑त्व॒स्मे ॥
इळामग्ने पुरुदंसं सनिं गोः शश्वत्तमं हवमानाय साध । स्यान्नः सूनुस्तनयो विजावाग्ने सा ते सुमतिर्भूत्वस्मे ॥
iḻām agne purudaṃsaṃ saniṃ goḥ śaśvattamaṃ havamānāya sādha | syān naḥ sūnus tanayo vijāvāgne sā te sumatir bhūtv asme ||

English translation:

“Grant, Agni, to the offerer of the oblation, the earth, the bestower of cattle, the means of many (pious rites), such that it may be perpetual; may there be to us sons and grandsons, and may your good-will ever be upon us (productive of benefit to us).”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

This hymn is the refrain of several sūktas in the preceding aṣṭaka. In one instrumental nce iḷā is translated as bhūmi, earth; here, she is called a feminine le divinity in the form of a cow: gorūpām devatām; vijāvā is connected with sumati, good-will; which is explained: avandhyā, may it be not barren, productive
