One part of mercury and two parts of sulphur are to be rubbed together to form a kajjali or black powder, with which is to be mixed one part of iron. All of these arc to be rubbed together in an iron mortar and transformed into parpati, in the same way as “rasa parpati.” Accompaniment, cold milk or decoction of jira and dhanya. This medicine cures sutika, diarrhoea, anemia, jaundice, weakness of the digesting heat, and bhasmaka (abnormal hunger.)
