न हि दण्डादृते शक्यः कर्तुं पापविनिग्रहः ।
स्तेनानां पापबुद्धीनां निभृतं चरतां क्षितौ ॥ २६३ ॥

na hi daṇḍādṛte śakyaḥ kartuṃ pāpavinigrahaḥ |
stenānāṃ pāpabuddhīnāṃ nibhṛtaṃ caratāṃ kṣitau || 263 ||
