Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. क्षपयिष्यति नः सर्वान्स सुव्यक्तं महारणे ।
विदितं मे हृषीकेश यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः ॥ ३३ ॥

kṣapayiṣyati naḥ sarvānsa suvyaktaṃ mahāraṇe |
viditaṃ me hṛṣīkeśa yato dharmastato jayaḥ || 33 ||
