Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. स गतस्तस्य तृप्तिं तु गन्धं सुरभिमुद्गिरन् ।
ददर्शोद्गारसंवृत्तां सुरभिं मुखजां सुताम् ॥ १७ ॥

sa gatastasya tṛptiṃ tu gandhaṃ surabhimudgiran |
dadarśodgārasaṃvṛttāṃ surabhiṃ mukhajāṃ sutām || 17 ||
