Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. क्षितिं वा देवलोकं वा गम्यतां यदि रोचते ।
अप्रमादश्च वः कार्यो ब्रह्म हि प्रचुरच्छलम् ॥ ६ ॥

kṣitiṃ vā devalokaṃ vā gamyatāṃ yadi rocate |
apramādaśca vaḥ kāryo brahma hi pracuracchalam || 6 ||
