Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. ततोऽस्मि बहुरूपासु स्थितो मूर्तिष्वमूर्तिमान् ।
अमूर्तश्चापि मूर्तात्मा ममत्वेन प्रधर्षितः ॥ ३४ ॥

tato'smi bahurūpāsu sthito mūrtiṣvamūrtimān |
amūrtaścāpi mūrtātmā mamatvena pradharṣitaḥ || 34 ||
