The Garga-samhita Verses 6.19.29-30, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 19 (In the First Fortress of Dvaraka, the Glories of Lila-sarovara, Hari-mandira, Jnana-tirtha, Krishna-kunda, Balabhadra-sarah, Ganesha-tirtha, Dana-sthala, and Maya-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

सैन्धवारण्य-यात्रायां
मेश-स्थे च दिवाकरे
उत्पलावर्त-यात्रायां
वृश-स्थे भास्करे सति
स्नानं दानं लक्श-गुणं
भवतीह न संशयः

saindhavāraṇya-yātrāyāṃ
meśa-sthe ca divākare
utpalāvarta-yātrāyāṃ
vṛśa-sthe bhāskare sati
snānaṃ dānaṃ lakśa-guṇaṃ
bhavatīha na saṃśayaḥ

saindhavāraṇya-yātrāyām—on a pilgrimage to Saindhavāraṇya; meśa-sthe—in Aires; ca—and; divākare—the sun; utpalāvarta-yātrāyām—on a pilgrimage to Utpala-varta; vṛśa-sthe—in Taurus; bhāskare—the sun; satibeing; snānam—bath; dānamcharity; lakśa-guṇam—a hundred thousand times greater; bhavatiis; iha—here; na—no; saṃśayaḥ—doubt.

English translation of verses 6.19.29-30:

One who bathes and gives charity at Saindhavāraṇya when the sun is in Aires attains a great pious result. One who bathes and gives charity at Utpalāvarta when the sun is in Taurus attains a pious result a hundred thousand times greater. Of this there is no doubt.
