तस्मात् कोटि-गुणं पुण्यं
दान-तीर्थे विदेह-राट्
मासम् एकं च यत् स्नानं
दानं तीर्थे करोति हि
tasmāt koṭi-guṇaṃ puṇyaṃ
dāna-tīrthe videha-rāṭ
māsam ekaṃ ca yat snānaṃ
dānaṃ tīrthe karoti hi
tasmāt—than this; koṭi-guṇam—ten million times greater; puṇyam—piety; dāna- tīrthe—at Dāna-tīrtha; videha-rāṭ—O king of Videha; māsam—month; ekam—one; ca—and; yat—which; snānam—bath; dānam—charity; tīrthe—at the holy place; karoti—gives; hi—indeed.
English translation of verse 6.19.31:
O king of Videha, a person who for one month bathes and gives charity at Dāna-tīrtha attains a pious reuslt ten million times greater than that.
