The Garga-samhita Verse 5.9.20, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
तेनोक्तो भगवान् कृष्णो
वासो बद्ध्वा कटौ दृढम्
निपपात महा-वेगात्
समुद्रे भीम-नादिनि

śrī-nārada uvāca
tenokto bhagavān kṛṣṇo
vāso baddhvā kaṭau dṛḍham
nipapāta mahā-vegāt
samudre bhīma-nādini

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; tena—by him; uktaḥaddressed; bhagavānthe Supreme Personality of Godhead; kṛṣṇaḥKṛṣṇa; vāsaḥgarment; baddhvā—tying; kaṭau—at His waist; dṛḍham—firm; nipapāta—dived; mahā-vegāt—quickly; samudre—in the ocean; bhīma-nādiniwith terrible waves.

English translation of verse 5.9.20:

Śrī Nārada said: When He heard these words, Lord Kṛṣṇa tightened the sash at His waist and dove into the ocean of terrible waves.
