The Garga-samhita Verse 5.8.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 8 (The Killing of Kamsa) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

पातयाम् आस भू-पृष्ठे
कमण्डलुम् इवार्भकः
श्री-कृष्णस्य प्रहारेण
चाणूरो भिन्न-मस्तकः
उद्वमन् रुधिरं राजन्
सद्यो वै निधनं गतः

pātayām āsa bhū-pṛṣṭhe
kamaṇḍalum ivārbhakaḥ
śrī-kṛṣṇasya prahāreṇa
cāṇūro bhinna-mastakaḥ
udvaman rudhiraṃ rājan
sadyo vai nidhanaṃ gataḥ

pātayām āsa—threw; bhū-pṛṣṭhe—to the gound; kamaṇḍalum—a kamandalu; iva—like; arbhakaḥa child; śrī-kṛṣṇasya—of Śrī Kṛṣṇa; prahāreṇa—by the blow; cāṇūraḥCāṇūra; bhinna-mastakaḥ—his head broken; udvaman—vomiting; rudhiram—blodd; rājanO king; sadyaḥ—suddenly; vai—indeed; nidhanam—death; gataḥ—attained.

English translation of verse 5.8.7:

As a child throws a kamaṇḍalu, Lord Kṛṣṇa threw Cāṇūra to the ground. O king, vomiting blood, and his head broken, Cāṇūra suddenly died.
