द्वयोर् आकर्षनान् नागो
विह्वलो ऽभून् नृपेश्वर
महा-मात्रास् तदा सप्त
रुरुहुस् तं गजं बलात्
dvayor ākarṣanān nāgo
vihvalo 'bhūn nṛpeśvara
mahā-mātrās tadā sapta
ruruhus taṃ gajaṃ balāt
dvayoḥ—of the Two of Them; ākarṣanān—by the pulling; nāgaḥ—the elephant; vihvalaḥ—agitated; abhūt—became; nṛpeśvara—O king of kings; mahā-mātraḥ—the elephant-trainer; tadā—then; sapta—seven; ruruhuḥ—grew; tam—that; gajam—elephant; balāt—forcibly.
English translation of verse 5.7.27:
O king of kings, pulled in both directions by Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, the elephant was in great distress. Seven elephant trainers quickly came to its rescue.
