The Garga-samhita Verse 4.15.2, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 15 (The Story of the Women of Barhishmati-pura, the Apsaras, and the Women of Sutala and Nagendra) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

जाता मत्स्य-वरात् तास् तु
समुद्रे गोप-कन्यकाः
तथान्याश् च विचित्राः
पृथिव्या दोहनान् नृप

jātā matsya-varāt tās tu
samudre gopa-kanyakāḥ
tathānyāś ca vicitrāḥ
pṛthivyā dohanān nṛpa

jātāborn; matsya-varāt—by the blessings of Lord Matsya; tāḥ—they; tu—indeed; samudre—in the ocean; gopa-kanyakāḥgopīs; tathā—so; anyāḥothers; ca—and; vicitrāḥvarious plants; api—also; pṛthivyā—of the earth; dohanāt—from the milking; nṛpaO king.

English translation of verse 4.15.2:

He had many daughters. Some had previously been born from the milk-ocean and had been the goddess of fortune's friends, and now were born as gopīs by Lord Matsya's benediction, and others had been the plants the sprouted when the earth was milked.
