श्री-कृष्णं सुन्दरं दृष्ट्वा
कन्या जाति-स्मराश् च ताः
कालिन्दी-सेवनं चक्रुर्
नित्यं श्री-कृष्ण-हेतवे
śrī-kṛṣṇaṃ sundaraṃ dṛṣṭvā
kanyā jāti-smarāś ca tāḥ
kālindī-sevanaṃ cakrur
nityaṃ śrī-kṛṣṇa-hetave
śrī-kṛṣṇam—Srī Kṛṣṇa; sundaram—handsome; dṛṣṭvā—seeing; kanyā—the girls; jāti-smarāḥ—remembering their previous birth; ca—and; tāḥ—they; kālindī—of the Yamunā; sevanam—service; cakruḥ—did; nityam—regularly; śrī-kṛṣṇa-hetave—to attain Srī Kṛṣṇa.
English translation of verse 4.2.14:
Gazing at handsome Srī Kṛṣṇa, and remembering their previous birth, the girls daily worshiped the Yamunā to attain Kṛṣṇa.
