The Garga-samhita Verse 4.2.14, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 2 (The Story of the Gopis That Had Been Sages) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

श्री-कृष्णं सुन्दरं दृष्ट्वा
कन्या जाति-स्मराश् च ताः
कालिन्दी-सेवनं चक्रुर्
नित्यं श्री-कृष्ण-हेतवे

śrī-kṛṣṇaṃ sundaraṃ dṛṣṭvā
kanyā jāti-smarāś ca tāḥ
kālindī-sevanaṃ cakrur
nityaṃ śrī-kṛṣṇa-hetave

śrī-kṛṣṇam—Srī Kṛṣṇa; sundaram—handsome; dṛṣṭvāseeing; kanyāthe girls; jāti-smarāḥ—remembering their previous birth; ca—and; tāḥ—they; kālindīof the Yamunā; sevanam—service; cakruḥ—did; nityam—regularly; śrī-kṛṣṇa-hetave—to attain Srī Kṛṣṇa.

English translation of verse 4.2.14:

Gazing at handsome Srī Kṛṣṇa, and remembering their previous birth, the girls daily worshiped the Yamunā to attain Kṛṣṇa.
