The Garga-samhita Verse 2.14.6, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 14 (Description of Kaliya’s Story) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
तथास्तु चोक्तास् ते सर्वे
गरुडाय महात्मने
गो-पीथायात्मनो राजन्
नित्यं दिव्यं बलिं ददुः

śrī-nārada uvāca
tathāstu coktās te sarve
garuḍāya mahātmane
go-pīthāyātmano rājan
nityaṃ divyaṃ baliṃ daduḥ

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; tathā—so; astumay be; ca—and; uktāḥ—said; te—they; sarve—all; garuḍāya—to Garuḍa; mahātmane—the great soul; go-pīthāya—for protection; ātmanaḥ—own; rājanO king; nityam—regularly; divyam—splendid; balim—offering; daduḥ—gave.

English translation of verse 2.14.6:

Śrī Nārada said: To Garuḍa, the great soul, they all said, "So be it." In this way for their own protection they regularly gave a splendid offering.
