ततश् च वृन्दकारण्ये
स-पाणि-कवलं विधिः
वत्सान् सखीन् विचिन्वन्तं
एकं कृष्णं ददर्श सः
tataś ca vṛndakāraṇye
sa-pāṇi-kavalaṃ vidhiḥ
vatsān sakhīn vicinvantaṃ
ekaṃ kṛṣṇaṃ dadarśa saḥ
tataḥ—then; ca—and; vṛndakāraṇye—in Vṛndāvana forest; sa-pāṇi-kavalam—with a handful of food; vidhiḥ—Brahma; vatsān—the calves; sakhīn—friends; vicinvantam—searching; ekam—alone; kṛṣṇam—Kṛṣṇa; dadarśa—saw; saḥ—he.
English translation of verse 2.8.46:
Then Brahmā saw Kṛṣṇa, with a morsel of food in His hand, searching for His calves and friends in Vṛndāvana forest.
