श्री-सन्नन्द उवाच
गोलोके हरिणाज्ञाप्ता
कालिन्दी सरितां वरा
कृष्णं प्रदक्षिणी-कृत्य
गन्तुम् अभ्युद्यताभवत्
śrī-sannanda uvāca
goloke hariṇājñāptā
kālindī saritāṃ varā
kṛṣṇaṃ pradakṣiṇī-kṛtya
gantum abhyudyatābhavat
śrī-sannandaḥ uvāca—Śrī Sannanda said; goloke—in Goloka; hariṇā—by Lord Hari; jñāptā—informed; kālindī—Yamunā; saritām—of rivers; varā—the best; kṛṣṇam—Lord Kṛṣṇa; pradakṣinī-kṛtya—circumambulating; gantum—to go; abhyudyata—about; abhavat—became.
English translation of verse 2.3.1:
Śrī Sannanda said: Ordered by Lord Kṛṣṇa in Goloka, Yamunā, the best of rivers, circumambulated the Lord and was about to go (to the earth).
