ब्रह्मणा नोदितो नृप
मन्दराद्रिं गतस् तप्तुं
धरया भर्यया सह
ekadā putra-kaṅkṣī ca
brahmaṇā nodito nṛpa
mandarādriṃ gatas taptuṃ
dharayā bharyayā saha
ekadā—one day; putra—a son; kaṅkṣī—desiring; ca—also; brahmaṇā—by Brahmā; noditaḥ—sent; nṛpa—O king; mandarādrim—to Mount Mandara; gataḥ—gone; taptum—to perform austerities; dharayā—Dharā; bharyayā—his wife; saha—with.
