The Garga-samhita Verse 1.15.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. एकदा पुत्र-कङ्क्षी च
ब्रह्मणा नोदितो नृप
मन्दराद्रिं गतस् तप्तुं
धरया भर्यया सह

ekadā putra-kaṅkṣī ca
brahmaṇā nodito nṛpa
mandarādriṃ gatas taptuṃ
dharayā bharyayā saha

ekadāone day; putraa son; kaṅkṣī—desiring; ca—also; brahmaṇā—by Brahmā; noditaḥ—sent; nṛpaO king; mandarādrim—to Mount Mandara; gataḥ—gone; taptum—to perform austerities; dharayā—Dharā; bharyayā—his wife; sahawith.

English translation of verse 1.15.7:

He desired a child. Sent by the demigod Brahmā, he went with his wife Dharā to Mount Mandara to perform austerities.
