The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.4.29, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 29 of Adi-khanda chapter 4—“Name-giving Ceremony, Childhood Pastimes, and Thieves Kidnap the Lord”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.4.29:

এই-মত বৈসে প্রভু জগন্নাথ-ঘরে গুপ্ত-ভাবে গোপালের প্রায কেলি করে ॥ ২৯ ॥

एइ-मत वैसे प्रभु जगन्नाथ-घरे गुप्त-भावे गोपालेर प्राय केलि करे ॥ २९ ॥

ei-mata vaise prabhu jagannātha-ghare gupta-bhāve gopālera prāya keli kare || 29 ||

ei-mata vaise prabhu jagannatha-ghare gupta-bhave gopalera praya keli kare (29)

English translation:

(29) As the Lord resided in the house of Jagannātha Miśra, He secretly performed pastimes similar to those of Gopāla Kṛṣṇa.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The phrase gopālera prāya means “like the son of Nanda, the king of the cowherd men.”
