Praśna 15, Kaṇḍikā 2

1. The Brahman should hold the Soma in bis lap.[1]

2. After the vaisarjana oblations have been offered, be should follow the fire.

3. As soon as he reaches the Āgnīdhra fire-chamber, he should hand over the Soma to the Pratiprasthātṛ, return by the same route by which he had gone, go out by the eastern door (of the prāgvaṃśa), go round along the south of the Sadas, and along the south of the Mārjālīya Dhiṣṇya, and sit down to the south of the Āgnīdhra fire-chamber. So says Āśmarathya. He should go round along the north of the fire itself, and sit down to the south. So says Ālekhana.[2]

4. The Brahman should hold the Soma in his lap.

5. As soon as the vaisarjana oblations have been offered,[3] he should move in front of all.

6. As soon as he reaches the two Havirdhāna carts, he should hand over the Soma to the Pratiprasthātṛ, go round along the two Havirdhāna carts, and sit to the south of the uttaravedi. So says Āśmarathya. He should go round along the north of the two Havirdhāna carts and along the rear of the uttaravedi, and sit down to the south of the uttaravedi. So says Ālekhana.[4]

7. He should remain here only until the offering of the omentum of the Agnīṣomīya animal.[5]

8. After the omentum is offered, he should sprinkle himself with water at that place where others sprinkle themselves.
