hṛṣīkeśaṃ tadā vākyamidamāha mahīpate |
senayorubhayormadhye rathaṃ sthāpaya me'cyuta ||21||
yāvadetānnirīkṣe'haṃ yoddhukāmānavasthitān |
kairmayā saha yoddhavyamasmin raṇasamudyame ||22||
yotsyamānānavekṣe'haṃ ya ete'tra samāgatāḥ |
dhārtarāṣṭrasya durbuddheryuddhe priyacikīrṣavaḥ ||23||

tadeva vākyamāha senayorubhayorityādi | yāvadetāniti | nanu tvaṃ yoddhā na tu yuddhaprekṣakastatrāha kairmayetyādi | kaiḥ saha mayā yoddhavyam | yotsyamānāniti dhārtarāṣṭrasya duryodhanasya priyaṃ kartumicchanto ye iha samāgatāḥ tānahaṃ drakṣyāmi yāvat | tāvadubhayoḥ senayormadhye me rathaṃ sthāpayetyanvayaḥ ||2123||

The Gītābhūṣaṇa commentary by Baladeva

arjunavākyamāha senayoriti | he acyutedi svabhāvasiddhādbhaktavātsalyātpāramaiśvaryācca na cyavase smeti tena tena ca niyantirto bhaktasya me vākyāttatra rathaṃ sthitaṃ kuru nirbhaya tatra rathasthāpane phalamāha yāvaditi | yoddhukāmānna tu sahāsmābhiḥ sandhiṃ cikīrṣūn | avasthitānna tu bhītyā pracalitān |

nanu tvaṃ yoddhā, na tu yuddhaprekṣakastatastaddarśanena kimiti cettatrāha kairiti | asmin bandhūnāmeva mitho raṇodyoge kairbandhubhiḥ saha mama yuddhaṃ bhāvītyetajjñānāyaivaa madhye rathasthāpanamiti |

nanu bandhutvādeetsandhimeva vidhātsyantīti cettatrāha yotsyamānāniti na tu sandhiṃ vidhāsyataḥ | avekṣe pratyemi | durbuddheḥ kudhiyaḥ svajīvanopāyānabhijñasya yuddhe na tu durbuddhyapanayane | ato madyuddhapratiyoginirīkṣaṇaṃ yuktamiti ||2123||
