Śrutajñānāvaraṇa (श्रुतज्ञानावरण) is another name for Śrutajñāna, or “scriptural knowledge” which represents one of the five divisions of Jñānāvaraṇa, or “knowledge obscuring (karmas)”, which represents one of the eight types of Prakṛti-bandha (species bondage): one of the four kinds of bondage (bandha) according to the 2nd-century Tattvārthasūtra chapter 8.
