Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarKṛtādi (कृतादि).—A class of words such as कृत, मित, मत, भूत, उक्त (kṛta, mita, mata, bhūta, ukta) and others with which the words श्रेणि, एक, पूग, कुण्ड, राशि (śreṇi, eka, pūga, kuṇḍa, rāśi) and others are compounded, provided both the words forming the compound are in the same case;.e.g. श्रेणिकृताः, एककृताः, कुण्डभूताः (śreṇikṛtāḥ, ekakṛtāḥ, kuṇḍabhūtāḥ) etc. cf Kāś. on P.II.1.59.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
