The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 4.37

मधुरं गीतमन्वर्थं काचित्साभिनयं जगौ ।
तं स्वस्थं चोदयन्तीव वञ्चितो ऽसीत्यवेक्षितैः ॥ ३७ ॥

madhuraṃ gītamanvarthaṃ kācitsābhinayaṃ jagau |
taṃ svasthaṃ codayantīva vañcito 'sītyavekṣitaiḥ || 37 ||

Another sang a sweet song easily understood and with the proper gesticulations, rousing him, self-subdued though he was, by her glances, as saying, 'O how thou art deluded.'
