This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 111.5

तिष्ठे यं पाण्डरो गिरि कैलासवत् तथैव विपुलो ।
अथ मे पितरो पितामहा प्रेता कालगता अवीततृष्णा ॥ ५ ॥

tiṣṭhe yaṃ pāṇḍaro giri kailāsavat tathaiva vipulo |
atha me pitaro pitāmahā pretā kālagatā avītatṛṣṇā || 5 ||

Though I now stand in glory like snow-white mount Kailasa, yet my father and my grandfather are dead and gone, their craving still unsatisfied. (5)
